Goddesses descend on Detroit for a Curvy Revolution

Last Saturday, the Curvy Revolution Fashion Show hosted by Detroit’s plus sized advocate Keke Dillard, MCd by the lovely and highly successful fashion model Christina Mendez, was packed with gorgeous body loving fashion and Detroit’s very own curvy goddesses.  The event was held at Flat 151, 151 W. Congress, kicking off a nation wide tour with an impressive city line up including – Houston, Chicago, Atlanta, New York, DC, Miami and Toronto.  Plus sized designers celebrated feminine curves in stylish dresses, suits, swimwear, workwear and lady-fun wear, in a delicious parade of beautiful fabrics and prints ready for running a business, play on the streets, a beachy vacation or just being sexy.

Designer Quanitra Terry rocked the runway with her super sexy dresses, well received in the blogosphere and at the Curvy Revolution event, and many mentions on Facebook.  Check out Detroit’s up and coming Plus Sized line Louvenia Curves!

Marche Du Nain Rouge, 3.25.Detroit.2012

Detroiters march through Midtown to cast out le Nain Rouge, an evil spirit who dwells in our fears, cursing us with misfortune and division.  The gathering of elaborate characters expels the centuries old curse from the city, and unifies us in peace and harmony in spring renewal.
